The Iron Sites
Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-07-06
Who we are
The Iron Sites (“we,” “us,” theironsites.com) builds and hosts websites for small businesses. This policy covers two of our surfaces: our own marketing site, and the claim pages where a business can preview and claim the website we built for it. The sites we build for our customers carry their own privacy policies.
What we collect here
If you ask us to notify you, or you request changes on a claim page, we keep what you type. That means your email address, any other contact details you add, and your message, so we can write back. It is the only information you hand us directly on these pages.
We also keep simple, anonymous counts of how often our pages are viewed. Those counts use no cookies and do not store your IP address or any device identifier. Our hosting providers may handle your IP address briefly, the way any website does, to deliver the page and keep it up.
If you received a preview of a website
If we sent you a link to a preview site for your business, here is where it came from. We built it from publicly available business listings and commercial data providers, not from you, and we did not ask you for it first. It holds business information, not personal details beyond what is already listed publicly for the business.
If you would rather we did not keep it, or did not contact you again, email us at privacy@theironsites.com. We will remove you from our list and delete it.
Cookies and tracking
Our marketing and claim pages set no cookies, store nothing on your device, and do not follow you across other websites. They load no third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. A small set of service providers help us run the service, and we share information with them only as far as running it requires: our website host (Vercel), our database provider (Supabase), our email service (Resend), a business-listings and mapping provider (Google), and a print-and-mail provider when we send physical mail. Each one works on our behalf, not for its own purposes.
How we protect it
We keep reasonable administrative and technical safeguards around the information we hold. Access to it is limited, and it is stored on secured, access-controlled infrastructure run by the providers named above.
How long we keep it
We hold the information you give us only as long as we need it, to reply to you and for our ordinary business records. If you want it gone sooner, email us and we will delete it.
Inquiries you send us through our website are deleted 24 months after you send them.
Children
Our service is built for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Contact and changes
